HOW TO MEASURE IT

1Sit or lie with both legs straight and relaxed.
2Find the base of the kneecap, and measure 1 cm above it.
3Take the tape around the knee at that line, snug and not tight.
4Measure both knees, the same way, at the same time of day.

The site is the one a blood-flow-restriction trial in cartilage and meniscus repair used: a standard tape measure positioned 1 cm proximal to the base of the patella. The board's own kicker says mid-patella, and that phrase appears in no file in this site's research.
